Can I make a cycle claim?
If the accident is the fault of someone else then you have a claim. Even if you were partly to blame you can still make a claim.
What will it cost me?
As cycling accident solicitors we operate our scheme on a no win no fee basis, and so there is no charge to you unless the claim is successful and you receive compensation.
How long will the claim take?
This very much depends on whether the claim is defended or not, as well as how serious your injuries are. Where thankfully your cycling injuries are minor and liability is not disputed the claim can be resolved in a few months.
What will I have to do?
All you need to do is complete our questionnaire so that we have full details of the accident and how it has affected you, and attend a medical examination that we will arrange for you. As your cycling accident lawyer we will do the rest so that you can concentrate on getting better.
How much will I get?
This will depend on the extent of your injuries. Once we get a medical report we will be able to value your claim.
Can I get a new bike?
If your bike is damaged beyond economical repair we can claim back for you the value of your bike at the time of the accident. Where liability is not in dispute we will seek an early interim payment for you so you can purchase a new bike and look to replace any clothing.
Can I hire an alternative bike?
If your injuries are not severe enough to stop you being able to ride your bike, then we can include the cost of hiring a bike whilst your bike is being repaired. Depending on where you are we may also be able to arrange this hire for you.
Do I have to go to court?
Cycling accident statistics suggest that more than 95% of claims settle without having to go to court so it is highly unlikely, but we cannot rule it out completely. We will be able to give you a better indication once you have given us details of the accident. Don’t worry your bike solicitor here at carry on cycling will be there to guide you all the way through your cycle accident claim.
